Carbohydrates

Carbohydrates are a source of energy for anaerobic and aerobic metabolism. They are a major nutrient for endurance exercises (an important factor for activities that last about 60-90min). The energy density of carbohydrates is 4 kcal / g. Post-workout foods should include lots of carbohydrates and protein, but recommendations for carbohydrate intake should be tailored to individual results and goals.

Ugljikohidrati su izvor energije anaerobnog i aerobnog metabolizma, glavni su nutrijent u vježbama izdržljivosti (limitirajući čimbenik za aktivnosti koje traju dulje od 60-90min). Energetska gustoća ugljikohidrata je 4 kcal/g. Hrana nakon vježbanja treba uključivati ugljikohidrate i proteine, ali preporuke za unos ugljikohidrata treba korigirati s obzirom na individualne rezultate tj. ciljeve.
