Regeneration immediately after a football match:
Players in the first half hour (critical half hour) must consume a lot of fluids, hydrate their muscles, and consume sufficient amounts of simple and complex proteins and carbohydrates (fruit shakes and Whey).
The nutritional part is the most important, where players are provided with rehydration as soon as they arrive for training in the morning.
Sometimes athletes are given supplements for sleep due to adrenaline, as matches are played late at night.
They need sleep (7-8 hours) for rest for the next day’s regeneration.
